About

LevelUp Dynamics

We strive to be a solid go-to option for consulting, supply, and installation of cabinetry, millwork, solid surface/ stone countertops, doors, frames, & hardware.

We specialize in the coordination and communication needed to achieve affordable comprehensive packages within our scopes of work.  We offer a phased approach (if necessary) to meet your budget and project construction schedule.  Our services include consulting, design, pricing, shop drawings and submittal package approvals, purchasing, complete follow-through and total scope project management until completion approval.

We’ll formulate a gameplan based on your projects needs, timeline, and budget.  We’ll take responsibility for as much of the work as you would like, while working with your own contractors or our own installers that we recommend.  Our recommended contractors, subcontractors, and installers have many years of experience with references and proven track records verifying their work and service.

Navigating the construction process can be frustrating, confusing, and daunting without the proper support. We take pride in the privilege of providing our services being that support, alleviating negative impact and any issues arising whether that is design, cost, or time related.

Process

How we help you

Architectural Plans

"Quality is never an accident; it is always the result of intelligent effort." - John Ruskin

  • The process starts with consultation to understand what is needed for the project, what kind of aesthetic, functionality, and finish is being requested.  What kind of budget has been established for this scope to achieve those needs.  Any design intent conflicts should be addressed and clarified during this preliminary time.

  • An initial plan is proposed and discussed along with a project proposal estimate for the supply of finished products and the costs for installation and construction if needed. LevelUp Dynamics will propose a detailed scope of work calling out all pricing and information pertaining to the project needs.

  • From project award, the shop drawings and submittals are put into production detailing everything that will be fabricated for our scope.  Once the shop drawings and submittals are approved by the owner and or architect, raw materials, prefabricated components, and hardware will be ordered. LevelUp Dynamics will handle the procurement, project management, quality control, and inspect site deliveries.  Purchasing via internet, phone, showroom visits and in-office visits from vendors, if need be, can occur.  If upon site delivery there are mis-shipped products, missing components, and or broken-in-transit items, they will be handled and rectified as quickly as possible.

  • Once all the products pertaining to our scope are onsite and all necessary approvals are in place,  the installation process begins.  After installation is complete, we clean up any punch list items that may be needed and take care of the project closeout.

About Me

My name is Erik Michael Sternberg, and I created LevelUp Dynamics to bring a strategic and steady approach, helping raise the bar for myself and our scopes of work focusing on wood millwork construction, doors, frames, hardware, consulting, design, supply and install for projects we handle all over the tri-state area.

I am originally from Rockland County, New York where I grew up which is about 30 miles from New York City.  During my early working years, I worked from my teens until my early twenties for a residential/commercial painting company, an HVAC/plumbing/excavating company, for a modular home builder.  From those different work experiences and the people I worked with, I learned a lot about those particular scopes of work.  I established an overall appreciation for the construction/renovation process, but didn't want to be doing the manual labor portion of it for the rest of my life.   Being younger and not sure which path to take, I was then introduced to the mortgage industry in my mid twenties steering me in a different direction.  The mortgage business was very aggressive and saturated at that time when I was introduced around 2003.   This loan officer position helped craft my understanding of financing and the marketplace for homes, buildings, and properties which are also important aspects to understand for the construction industry.  Working in this field helped me greatly  by strengthening my salesmanship, people skills, and the self motivating fire burning within me.  I worked for a subsidiary of Deutsche Bank as a loan officer for 4+ years in Englewood Cliffs, NJ and then for a Lender in Manhattan on 46th Street and Park Ave. for 3+ years.

I enjoyed certain elements of that business and the people I worked with during my time in the mortgage industry, but was not happy with the process and the lack of control I felt on my end.  I had an urge to get back into construction in some capacity.  I came across a young company locally that was handling commercial doors, frames, hardware packages looking to grow in the area.  While learning the door & hardware industry, process, and the competition, I helped by growing the company in the New York marketplace exponentially over the next 6 years establishing many solid relationships and references.  My role there was mainly business development, sales & estimating.  While working there I was involved in all aspects of the process and with that helped price, sell, manage, coordinate, and purchase over $30 million worth of projects for our scope of work in NYC and the tri-state area over that time.  Always making sure I was fully in tune with the clients for every project I was involved with there from inception to completion.

Seeing that there is a need for subcontractors in the area with superior communication, coordination, and management skills,  while wanting to push the envelope for myself with some exciting new opportunities, I decided to break away and start my own company taking the leap. I am a highly qualified design and build consultant/supplier for my scopes of work. This allows me to speak across many platforms when helping determine what’s possible to build your project, and to ultimately succeed with the tasks at hand.

The depth and scope of my experience will provide my clients with the confidence of knowing that any questions or concerns that may arise throughout the process, can be answered and handled by me personally.

In choosing to start my own company, I have made it a point to operate, and move in a direction that is consistent with my core values, so I can give the best customer experience possible. In doing that, adding on to the references and referrals we strive for.

Being located where I am has been beneficial to help grow my business in this busy ever booming marketplace. My wife and I are happily married, living about an hour from New York City in the mountains of North New Jersey.  Experiencing all the beauty and fun of the outdoors in the area, but not being too far from urban life.  I am the proud Father of an incredible little boy that inspires me even more each day to keep pushing the bar. We love it here, and I am very thankful for the opportunities I have been given to do business in such an incredible place. I have been fortunate to have made many lasting relationships and friendships with the clients and associates I have done work with and for.

I will say that by choosing LevelUp Dynamics, my clients will be dealing directly with an owner, who is not only a highly qualified professional with great references for my scopes of work, but also someone who thrives on making the difficult seem easy and possible, no matter what the challenge may be.  If you conceive and believe it, you can achieve it.

It would be my honor to earn your business.

-Erik
